V.O.W. Scholars

Since 2018, Vettes Out West (VOW) has remained committed to supporting education, community involvement, and the future success of young leaders throughout the Inland Empire.

The Vettes Out West Scholarship Award was established in 2022 to assist graduating high school seniors in pursuing higher education, vocational training, and career development opportunities. Through this scholarship, VOW seeks to recognize students who demonstrate academic effort, community involvement, leadership potential, and a commitment to personal growth.

This scholarship opportunity is open to graduating seniors within the Inland Empire High School District who meet the following requirements:

Applicants Must:

Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale(Unofficial transcript required).

Provide proof of acceptance to one of the following:
Vocational or Technical School, Community College, Accredited Four-Year College or University.

Demonstrate involvement in: At least 10 hours of community service, extracurricular activities, or school/community involvement.

Submit one letter of recommendation(Recommendation may be provided by a teacher, clergy member, school administrator, employer, or mentor. Letters from relatives or peers will not be accepted.)

Be present at the scholarship presentation/event to receive the award.

Essay Requirement: Applicants must submit a typed, double-spaced essay that is:

Minimum: 300 words.
Maximum: Two pages.
(Please include the essay with your completed application.)

Essay Guidelines:

We want to hear your voice, experiences, goals, and personal perspective.

Your essay must be your own original work. While technology and AI tools are widely available, they cannot tell your personal story or reflect your authentic journey. Applications containing AI-generated essays or content will be disqualified.
